It is DECEMBER 1 and I am feeling the Christmas vibes! The blogging community is also very hyped up as Blogmas starts today, and I am honestly excited to be reading your posts!
Initially, I vowed to join Blogmas but was unable to work on my posts (I had a list, u guys. I had a list huhu) As it turns out, even if I might not be as dedicated like all you precious human beings, I ended up joining Bookending Winter 2018!
So what is this about?
Bookending Winter is one of the quarterly events, running under the umbrella term “Bookend Events”, aspiring to bring the book blogging community closer together! Bookending Winter has a vague theme of Christmas/Winter, but you don’t need to stick to this theme at all!
On my part, I’ll be joining the 3-5 blog tags hosted by different bloggers. ❤
Day 1 is hosted by Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward, so be sure to check out his blog!
Before I start, I just would like to give a massive shoutout to Amanda over at Devouring Books for introducing Bookending Winter 2018 to me. Love you, girl! ❤

A Gift You Received or Want This Year
My not-so-exciting answer to this one is.. I have no idea. 😂 To be honest, this is the only Christmas where I haven’t really thought about what I want to receive. But if I really had to choose, I’d love for someone to gift me some bookish merch! I don’t have a list yet (I’ll make one!), but I’m not terrible picky when it comes to gifts. I’d love it whatever it is! 🙂
A Favorite Holiday Treat to Have Every Year
OH GOD. I absolutely LOVE mango-graham cakes. 😭 I’m not even kidding y’all! I’m not sure if you know what that is but here’s a picture:
I swear I can finish a whole tub of these, they’re so good! 🙂
Ghost of Christmas Past
A Holiday Memory from Your Past
There’s no specific holiday memory that I can recall, but I do remember Christmas mornings which are always my favorite because.. PRESENTS!! My mom would wake up my brother and I at 6am and we’d have hot chocolate and pancakes.. then we can sit under the tree and start opening our presents. ❤
Buddy the Elf
“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.”
A Holiday Song You like to Sing Each Holiday Season
It has to be It’s Christmas All Over the World by Sheena Easton. I know it’s a little melodramatic, but I’m partial to those kinds of Christmas songs!
An Unpopular Toy You Really Wanted to Get One Year
Pretty sure this isn’t unpopular, but I’ve always wanted someone to gift me with rollerskates since I was a kid. 😭 I never told anyone because you know, KID LOGIC lol and unfortunately, no one thought about it so I still don’t know how to use those until now.
A Moment When Your Heart Grew Three Sizes
When I was in my sophomore year of high school, we had an outreach program and went to celebrate Christmas at a nursing home. Us students partnered up with the residents of the place and we played games and ate a lot and basically just bonded together. Before we left, we gave them some gifts, just simple ones that will make them happy (the staff gave us a wishlist beforehand!), and the smiles on their faces was absolutely priceless. They were so happy, especially since a lot of them aren’t visited by relatives anymore. Needless to say, there was no dry eye that day and we all gave and received the warmest of hugs.
A Tradition You Like to Do Every Winter
Hmm. We don’t have winter season but I guess it’s safe to assume you’re just talking about Christmas.. if so I do like to keep up our childhood tradition of hot chocolate and pancakes in the morning! ❤
A Moment You Believed in a Holiday Wish/Miracle
I never had a wish granted, not for birthdays or even Christmas so I’m really not sure what to write here. Oddly enough, that doesn’t sadden me because I’ve never been the kind of person who asked for gifts. 🙂

A Favorite Holiday Tradition
Oooh, we always had a reunion on my mother’s side of the family. It always happened on Christmas day so we would spend at least half the day at my grandmother’s place and just eat and have fun. It stopped a few years ago after my grandmother’s death though. 😦
Frosty the Snowman
A Memory Involving Snow or A Memory You Would Like to Have Involving Snow
Yikes, this is the cheesiest but I’ve NEVER experienced snow so when I do.. I’m gonna be doing all the fun stuff like snow angels, snowball fights, building a snowman, and maybe riding on a sled! 😂
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
A Holiday Activity You Like Doing
SHOPPING. I love to shop on holidays because first, I got A LOT of money. 😂 And second, THERE ARE SO MANY SALES!!!! 😍 I love to shop for myself, friends, and family. Even if I don’t need it, I’ll probably buy it just because it’s all cheap.
A Favorite Holiday Saying or Quote
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” – Roald Dahl ✨✨
